DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring the deviation of short term fuel trim
  1. Air leakage
  2. Improper fuel pressure
  3. PCV valve stuck
  4. Restricted injector
Enable Conditions
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is greater than 74°C (165.2°F)
  • Fuel trim active:
    • No relevant failure (Upstream O2 sensor, Injector valve, ETC in limp home state)
    • Measured Tip temperature is greater than 680°C (1256°F)
    • Engine Coolant Temperature is greater than 0°C (32°F)
  • Engine speed is faster than 512 RPM
  • Barometric pressure is greater than 75 kPa
Threshold Value
  • Short term trim value at Maximum Limit for more than 40 seconds of total monitoring time (90 sec.)
  • Average of short term fuel trim is greater than or equal to 50%
Detecting Time
  • 90 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
