DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • TPS adaptation Lower position check
  1. Poor connection or damaged harness
  2. Faulty ETC motor
Enable Conditions
  • During TPS adaptation
  • TPS set point is equal to 1.991 degree
Threshold Value
  • Throttle position for the lower return spring check is not reached within a limit maximum time (Difference between throttle position and set point is greater than 0.503 degree)
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • TPS adaptation error low return spring check
Enable Conditions
  • During TPS adaptation
Threshold Value
  • When ETC power stage is off, Throttle can not return by spring power in the limp-home position within a limit maximum time (Difference between Throttle position and adapted voltage in limp-home position is greater than 0.18 V)
Case 3 DTC Strategy
  • TPS adaptation upper position check
Enable Conditions
  • During TPS adaptation
  • TPS set point is equal to 20.001 degree
Threshold Value
  • Throttle position for the upper return spring check is not reached within a limit maximum time (Difference between throttle position and set point is greater than 0.503 degree)
Case 4 DTC Strategy
  • TPS adaptation error upper return spring check
Enable Conditions
  • During TPS adaptation
Threshold Value
  • When ETC power stage is off, Throttle cannot return by spring power in the limp-home position within a limit maximum time (Difference between Throttle position and adapted voltage in limp-home position is greater than 0.18 V)
Case 5 DTC Strategy
  • TPS start check, error in spring check
Enable Conditions
  • During TPS start check
  • TPS set-point is equal to 17%
Threshold Value
  • Throttle flap cannot reach the set point within the hysteresis within a limit maximum time (Difference between throttle position and requested position is greater than 0.5 degree)
Case 6 DTC Strategy
  • TPS start check error in limp-home check
Enable Conditions
  • During TPS start check
  • No engine start condition
Threshold Value
  • When ETC power stage is off, Throttle cannot return by spring power in the limp-home position within a limit maximum time (Difference between Throttle position and adapted voltage in limp home position is greater than 0.18V)
Diagnosis Time
  • 1.275 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 1 driving cycle
