Repair Procedures: Inspection

- Immerse the only thermostat part in water and gradually heat the water.NOTE:
- Don't immerse connector part.
- Check the valve opening temperature.
Valve opening temperature:
100 ± 2°C (212 ± 3.6°F)
Full opening temperature : 113°C (235°F)
If the valve opening temperature is not as specified, replace the thermostat.
- Check the valve lift.
Valve lift : 8 mm (0.3 in.) or more at 113°C (235°F)
If the valve lift is not as specified, replace the thermostat.
