Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the AVN head unit.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Repair procedures ")

  4. Remove the cluster fascia panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL ")

  5. Remove the cowl side trim.

    (Refer to Interior Trim - "COWL SIDE TRIM ")

  6. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  7. Remove the glove box.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")

  8. Remove the crash pad under cover [RH].

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD UNDER COVER ")

  9. Disconnect the smart key antenna connector (A).

  10. After loosening the mounting screws, bolts and nuts, remove the lower crash pad panel [RH] (A).

  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector is connected properly.
    • Replace any damage clips.
