CAN Communication Circuit Inspection (F.A.T.C ↔ A.A.F)

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect A.A.F connector and F.A.T.C connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of A.A.F harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of F.A.T.C harness connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of A.A.F harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of F.A.T.C harness connector.

    Specification  : below 1Ω

  5. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good F.AT.C and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace F.AT.C and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
