Repair Procedures: Inspection

Immerse the only thermostat part in water and gradually heat the water.

NOTE:
- Don't immerse connector part.
Check the valve opening temperature.
Valve Opening Temperature:

100 ± 2°C (212 ± 3.6°F)

Full Opening Temperature: 113°C (235°F)

If the valve opening temperature is not as specified, replace the thermostat.
Check the valve lift.
Valve Lift: 8 mm (0.3 in.) or more at 113°C (235°F)

If the valve lift is not as specified, replace the thermostat.
