Repair Procedures: Removal

- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
CAUTION:- When removing the fuel pump relay, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may occur. Delete the code with the GDS after completion of "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line" work.
- Remove the fuel pump.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "FUEL PUMP ")
- Remove the fuel sender connector (A).
- Disconnect the pump connector (B).
- Disconnect the suction hose (A) after releasing the fixing hook.
- Remove the fixing clip (B), and then disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (C).
- Remove the reservoir-cup (B) after releasing the fixing hooks (A).
- Remove the dual hose (A).
- Disconnect the ground (B).
- Remove the fuel pressure regulator (D) after releasing the fixing clips (C).
- Disconnect the dual hose (A).
- Disconnect the fuel pump motor connector (B).
- Remove the fuel pump motor (B) after releasing the fixing hooks (A).
