Removal And Installation

- Disconnect the battery "-" terminal from the trunk room.
- Remove the front bumper.
(Refer to Body - "FRONT BUMPER COVER ")
- Remove the LH & RH head lamps.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "HEAD LAMPS ")
- Remove the LH & RH air duct (A).
- Disconnect the smart cruise system connector (A).
- Disconnect the Active Air Flap (AAF) control unit connector (A).
- Remove the evaporator temperature sensor bracket (A).
- Remove the active air flap (AAF) mounting bolt and then remove the smart cruise control unit (A).
- Remove the active air flap (AAF) (A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the wiring (A) and then remove the active air flap (AAF) from vehicle.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
