Removal And Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery "-" terminal from the trunk room.
  2. Remove the front bumper.

    (Refer to Body - "FRONT BUMPER COVER ")

  3. Remove the LH & RH head lamps.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "HEAD LAMPS ")

  4. Remove the LH & RH air duct (A).

  5. Disconnect the smart cruise system connector (A).

  6. Disconnect the Active Air Flap (AAF) control unit connector (A).

  7. Remove the evaporator temperature sensor bracket (A).

  8. Remove the active air flap (AAF) mounting bolt and then remove the smart cruise control unit (A).

  9. Remove the active air flap (AAF) (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  10. Disconnect the wiring (A) and then remove the active air flap (AAF) from vehicle.

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
