Signal Circuit Inspection

Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
Disconnect the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (RPS) connector.
Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
Measure the voltage between the signal terminal of the RPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 5V
Is voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to "GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short to ground in the power supply circuit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
