Fuel Pressure Sensor Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
  2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  3. Monitor "Fuel Pressure" parameter on the "Current Data". with GDS.

    Specification:  The fuel rail pressure will be increased while accelerating the vehicle.

  4. Is the parameter displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between ECM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good fuel pressure sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace fuel pressure sensor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
