Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitoring the deviation of short term fuel trim
  1. Air leakage
  2. Improper fuel pressure
  3. PCV valve stuck
  4. Clogging of injector
Prerequisite condition
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is higher than 73°C (163.4°F).
  • Fuel trim control is functioning.
  • Measured tip temperature of Upstream HO2S is higher than 645°C (1193°F).
Threshold Value
  • Short term trim value at maximum limitation for more than 40 seconds of total monitoring time is greater than or equal to 50%.
Diagnostic Time
  • 90 Seconds

  • 3rd Driving Cycle
