Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitoring the deviation of short term fuel trim
  1. Blocking of intake system
  2. Improper fuel pressure
  3. PCV valve stuck
  4. Clogging of injector
Prerequisite condition
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is higher than 73°C (163.4°F).
  • Fuel trim is functioning.
  • Measured tip of Upstream O2 sensor is higher than 645° C (1193°F).
Threshold Value
  • Short term trim value at minimum limitation for more than 40 seconds of total monitoring time is less than or equal to -30%.
Diagnostic Time
  • 90 Seconds

  • 3rd Driving Cycle
