ECTS Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch. Disconnect ECTS connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between signal terminal and ground terminal of ECTS connector. (Component side)

    Specification:

Temp. (°C/°F) Resistance (kΩ) Temp. (°C/°F) Resistance (kΩ)
    -40/-40 47.74 ~ 54.54 40/104 1.08 ~ 1.21
    -20/-4 14.13 ~ 16.83 60/140 0.56 ~ 0.61
    0/32 5.28 ~ 6.3 80/176 0.31 ~0.33
    20/68 2.31 ~2.6 100/212 0.18 ~ 0.19
  3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES

    • Clear DTC and Test-drive under the enable conditions. After the road test, if this DTC is set, recheck resistance. If not, it is intermittent fault. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

    NO

    • Check ECTS for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good ECTS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECTS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
