Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Disconnect the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) connector.
  3. Connect probes to each terminal of the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) connector.
  4. Measure Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) resistance.

    Specification:  Approx. 0.41Ω

  5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between ECM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known good Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
