High Pressure Fuel Pump Performance Inspection

Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
Monitor "Fuel Pressure" parameter on the "Current Data". with GDS.
Specification: the fuel rail pressure will be increased while accelerating the vehicle.
Is the parameters displayed correctly?
YES
- Check injector for leakage, If there is leakage, repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- If there is no leakage at injector, go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check high pressure fuel pump referring to service instructions and if necessary, repair or replace and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
