Detecting Condition |
Possible cause |
| Main Action |
|
- Overflow of fuel return
- Circuit short to ground
- Fuel supply system (low line) error
|
| Case 1 |
Prerequisite condition |
- No additional warm-up fueling is activated (ECT is sufficiently higher than 73°C/163.4°F).
- Accelerator pedal value is greater than or equal to 90%.
- Catalyst purge and leakage detection is not active.
- Fuel trim control is functioning.
|
| Threshold value |
- High pressure pump delivery is too low.
- Fuel trim controller including long term fuel trim is between -15% and 15%.
- Fuel pressure controller is greater than 0.08g.
|
| Case 2 |
Prerequisite condition |
- Catalyst heating is finished.
- Engine speed is between 512 rpm and 4000 rpm.
- Mass fuel flow is between 0.008g/rev and 0.12g/rev.
- Elapsed time after starting is longer than 15 seconds.
- Volume fuel flow is lower than 7.6 l/h to 102 l/h.
- Canister load is lower than 0.5.
|
| Threshold value |
- High pressure pump delivery is too low or over pressure valve is defective.
- Fuel trim controller including long term fuel trim is between -15% and 15%.
- Fuel pressure controller is greater than 0.04g.
- Fuel pressure difference between set-point and measured value is higher than 1.5MPa.
|
| Case 3 |
Prerequisite condition |
- Elapsed time after starting is longer than 2 seconds.
- Engine coolant temperature during starting is between -10°C (14°F) and 33°C (91.4°F).
- Volume fuel flow is lower than 7.6 l/h to 102 l/h.
- Mass fuel flow is greater than 0.008g/rev.
- Engine speed is higher than 512 rpm.
|
| Threshold value |
- Fuel pressure during catalyst heating is too low.
- Fuel pressure difference between set-point and measured value is higher than 1.5MPa.
