DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Evaluate O2 sensor element temperature
  1. Heater control circuit open or short
  2. Power supply circuit open or short
  3. Poor connection or damaged harness
  4. Faulty HO2S
Prerequisite condition
  • Normal heating time of Downstream O2 sensor is longer than 58 seconds.
  • Engine coolant temperature drop since the last engine stop is higher than 25°C (77°F).
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V.
Threshold Value
  • Internal resistance of Downstream O2 sensor is greater than 1000Ω and lower than/equal to 24000Ω.
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 Seconds

  • 3rd Driving Cycle
