[Clutch tube]

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Turn ignition OFF switch and the disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir with a syringe.
    NOTE:
    • Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle, it may damage the paint; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
    • Make sure no dirt or other foreign matter is allowed to contaminate the brake fluid.
  3. Remove the vacuum pump.

    (Refer to Brake System - "VACUUM PUMP ")

  4. Loosen the clutch tube flare nut (A).

  5. Remove the brake booster.

    (Refer to Brake System - "BRAKE BOOSTER ")

  6. Remove the clip (A) and then separate the clutch tube (B).

  7. Pull the clutch tube (A) upward and remove it from clutch tube bracket.

    CAUTION:
    • When replacing the component, be careful not to damage the clutch tube.
