Circuit/System Description

The automatic transmission auxiliary fluid accumulator is used to supply transmission fluid line pressure following an auto stop event. The accumulator is externally mounted to the transmission housing assembly. The accumulator has a solenoid valve which controls the charging and discharging of the accumulator pressure. ECM controls the accumulator solenoid by providing the ground path to the control circuit.
