Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission mount strut bracket. Transmission Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (Front Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (All Wheel Drive) 
  2. Prior to removing the transmission strut, mark the transmission strut fasteners to transmission strut to sub frame interfaces using spray paint or a marker for correct positioning during installation.
  3. Using a suitable jack stand, support the rear of the powertrain.

    Remove the strut through bolt retaining nut (2).

  5. Remove and DISCARD the transmission strut through bolt (1).
  6. Remove the transmission strut (3).
