Installation Procedure

    Make note of the routing of the instrument panel harness (1) around the bracket that support the passenger airbag. If it is improperly installed the harness will interfere with the installation of the passenger airbag.

    With the aid of an assistant, install the instrument panel tie bar (1) into the vehicle.

  3. Install the brake pedal assembly guide pins to the tie bar bracket.

    Seat the instrument panel tie bar on the body hinge pillar tie bar bracket (1) making sure the tab is engaged.

    Seat the instrument panel tie bar on the body hinge pillar tie bar bracket (1) making sure the tab is engaged.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  7. Body Hinge Pillar Outer Panel Hole Plug (1) - Install [2x]

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (1) @ Cowl Panel - Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Seat the HVAC module tabs into the tie bar.

  13. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)
  14. Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) - Install and tighten [3x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  15. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 5 N.m (44 lb in)

    Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 8 N.m (71 lb in)

    Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

  18. Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Junction Block (2) - Install
  19. If equipped, replace the zip tie (1) holding the harness together.
