Remove the left instrument panel center lower bracket (3). Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Left Side) , or Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Right Side)
Remove the right instrument panel center lower bracket (4). Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Left Side) , or Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Right Side)
Remove the left and right air inlet grille panel extension (1). Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement (Left Side) , or Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement (Right Side)
Remove the left and right windshield wiper arm (3). Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement
Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Remove - Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement
Windshield Wiper Transmission (2) - Remove - Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement
If equipped, remove the zip tie (1).
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Junction Block (2) - Remove
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]
Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Remove
Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Remove
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) - Remove [3x]
- Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (3) - Remove [2x]
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
- Support the HVAC module in order to prevent damage.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel tie bar (1) from the vehicle.
