Installation Procedure
With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument panel tie bar (1) into the vehicle.
- Install the instrument panel wiring harness to the position noted in the removal procedure.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) - Install and tighten [3x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 5 N.m (44 lb in)
Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 8 N.m (71 lb in)
Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Junction Block (2) - Install
- If equipped, replace the zip tie (1) holding the harness together.
Windshield Wiper Transmission (2) - Install - Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement
Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install - Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement
Install the left and right windshield wiper arm (3). Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement
Install the left and right air inlet grille panel extension (1). Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement (Left Side) , or Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement (Right Side)
Install the right instrument panel center lower bracket (4). Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Left Side) , or Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Right Side)
Install the left instrument panel center lower bracket (3). Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Left Side) , or Instrument Panel Center Lower Bracket Replacement (Equinox - Right Side)
Radio Bracket (2) - Install - Radio Bracket Replacement (Equinox)
Human Machine Interface Control Module (1) - Install - Human-Machine Interface Control Module Replacement
Radio (1) - Install - Radio Replacement (IO5, IO6, IOB, IOR) , or Radio Replacement (IOS, IOT, IOU)
Human Machine Interface Control Module Bypass Module (1) - Install - Human-Machine Interface Control Module Bypass Module Replacement
Install the left and right front side door (4). Front Side Door Replacement
Brake Pedal Assembly (1) - Install - Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement
Front Floor Console Rear Air Duct (1) - Install - Front Floor Console Rear Air Duct Replacement (Equinox Front)
Instrument Panel Compartment Air Duct (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Compartment Air Duct Replacement (Equinox)
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Equinox)
