Removal Procedure
Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Clip (1) - Release [4x]
- Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Retainer (2) - Release [2x]
- Front Compartment Front Sight Shield (3) - Remove
Turn the 6 front compartment sight shield retainers (1) a quarter turn counter clockwise to release on both sides of the vehicle.
Front Compartment Side Sight Shield - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
Using the appropriate tool, release the integral clips on both sides of the vehicle.
- Front Compartment Side Sight Shield - Left Side Front and Right Side Front (1) - Remove [2x]
Hood Weatherstrip (1) - Remove
- CAUTION:
Do not use heat on the cargo tie down loop or bolt. Using heat could cause damage to the cargo tie down loop and surrounding areas.
Open the 4 cargo tie down loop access covers with an appropriate tool.
- Using a breaker bar and a T40 Torx bit, loosen the cargo tie down bolt.
- Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt-Rear and Front (1) - Remove [4x]
- Cargo Tie Down Loop-Rear and Front (2) - Remove [4x]
Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
- Front Trim Finish Compartment Closeout Cap - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
Front Trim Finish Compartment Support Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
Front Trim Finish Compartment Lamp Bezel (1) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Using a flat-bladed plastic tool, release the retaining tab.
- Cargo Lamp (1) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt (1) - Remove [10x]
- Front Trim Finish Compartment (2) - Remove
- Place the front trim finish compartment (2) on a clean flat surface.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the retaining tabs.
- UHF Low Energy Remote Control Access Sensor Transceiver (1) - Remove
Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the retaining tabs.
- Low Frequency Front Compartment Antenna (1) - Remove
Please be advised that the cargo tie down loop requires high torque efforts to remove.
