Circuit / System Verification
- Verify DTC C05B0 is not set
- If DTC C05B0 is set
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- Perform the scan tool control function: Brake System Boost Pressure Test
- If the Brake System Boost Pressure Test does not pass
Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the Brake System Boost Pressure Test does pass or the Test Timed-Out failing to build boost pressure.
- If the Brake System Boost Pressure Test does not pass
- Perform the Scan Tool Configuration / Reset Functions: Brake System Plunger Motor Position Sensor Learn
- Clear DTCs
- Verify DTC C0021 is not set.
- If the DTC is not set
All OK.
- Go to next step: If DTC C0021 is set
- If the DTC is not set
- Ignition / Vehicle - Off = 10 s - Brake Pedal = Not applied
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Perform the scan tool control function: Brake Hydraulics Test
- If the procedure / test does not pass
Refer to: Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
- Go to next step: If the procedure / test passes
- If the procedure / test does not pass
- Verify DTC C0021 is not set
- If DTC C0021 is set
Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If DTC C0021 is set
- All OK.
NOTE:
If the Brake Hydraulics Test still fails after performing the Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) at least 3 times, performing the scan tool control function test Brake System Hydraulics Corner Test can be performed to help isolate the concern.
