Removal Procedure
Intake Air Splash Shield Retainer (1) - Remove [12x]
- Intake Air Splash Shield (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Release the retaining tab.
- Power Distributor Fuse Block Cover (1) Remove
Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Body Front Wiring Harness Nut (1) - Remove [5x]
- Engine Wiring Harness Fuse Block Nut (2) - Remove [2x]
- Battery Positive Cable Junction Block Nut (3) - Remove [2x]
- Battery Negative Post Clamp Nut (4) - Loosen until disengaged
- Position wiring harness terminals aside.
- Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (5) - Remove
Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1)
- Release the connector clip.
- Engine Control Module (2) - Remove
Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1) - Remove
- Engine Control Module Bracket (2) - Remove
Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt (1) - Remove
- Remove the electrical connector (2).
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (3) - Remove
Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt (1) - Remove
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Remove
Battery (1) - Remove
Battery Cover (1) - Remove
Battery Tray Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Release the retainers.
- Battery Tray (2) - Remove
Hood Primary Latch Release Cable (1) @ Hood Primary and Secondary Latch (2) - Disconnect
Disconnect the cable (1) from the 3 retainers (2).
Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Retainer (1) - Remove [4x]
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Left Side (2) - Remove
Remove the hood primary latch release cable grommet (1) from the dash panel.
- Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle (2) - Remove
Hood Primary Latch Release Cable (1) - Remove
