Removal Procedure
Disconnect the left side and right side front side door wiring harness electrical connector (1).
Front Side Door Check Link Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
- Mark the location of the left side and right side front side door hinges with a grease pencil to aid in alignment during installation.
- Support the left side and right side doors before removing the hinge fastener.
- Front Side Door Hinge Bolt - Door Side - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [8x]
With the aid of an assistant, remove the left side and right side front side doors (1).
- Instrument Panel - Remove - Instrument Panel Removal and Installation
{ If equipped } Head - Up Display Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- { If equipped } Head - Up Display (2) - Remove
- { If equipped } Disconnect the electrical connector.
{ If equipped } Head - Up Display Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- { If equipped } Release the clips with a suitable tool.
- { If equipped } Head - Up Display Bracket (2) - Remove
Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) - Remove
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Retainer (1) - Remove
Disconnect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
- Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Remove
Windshield Defroster Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainers.
Windshield Defroster Outlet Duct (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Disconnect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
- Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Air Outlet Duct (1) - Remove
Radio Cooling Duct Bolt (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector (2) - Remove
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace (2) - Remove [2x]
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove
Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Windshield Wiper Arm Nut Cap (1) - Remove [2x]
- Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Remove [2x]
- Grasp the outer end of the wiper arm and gently rock the arm back and forth, while holding the wiper arm blade off the windshield.
- Windshield Wiper Arm (3) - Remove [2x]
Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
- Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
Windshield Washer Pump Hose (1) @ Windshield Washer Nozzle Hose (2) - Disconnect
Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Remove [8x]
- Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Remove
Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Remove
Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Remove
- Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Windshield Wiper System Module (3) - Remove
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove
Body Hinge Pillar Outer Panel Hole Plug - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- NOTE:
- The tie bar may need to be repositioned in order to access all necessary retainers and connectors.
- Note the location and routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.
Remove any wiring harness connectors or retainers secured to the instrument panel tie bar (1).
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel tie bar (1) from the vehicle.
- Transfer components as necessary.
