Installation Procedure
- NOTE:
Some components not shown for graphic clarity.
Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake pedal.
- Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal.
Maneuver the brake master cylinder (1) into the vehicle.
Engage the brake pedal (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod by pushing inwards.
- Ensure the brake pedal retainer is secured by lightly pulling rearward on the brake pedal (1).
Electrical Connector (1) @Brake System Control Module - Connect
- CAUTION:
Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Remove the caps from the 4 brake pipe inlets.
- Reposition the brake pipes (1) and install and tighten the 4 front brake pipe nuts (2) to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir (1) - Install - Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement
- Radiator Surge Tank - Install - Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
- Reprogram the brake system control module. Control Module References
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
- Check the brake system for leaks.
