Installation Procedure

    Front Trim Finish Compartment (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [10x] - Front Trim Finish Compartment Replacement 
  3. Connect the electrical connector and harness retainers as needed.

    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Front Trim Finish Compartment Closeout Cap- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  5. Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Front Trim Finish Compartment Replacement

    NOTE:

    rear shown, front similar.

    Cargo Tie Down Loop (2) - Install [4x]

  7. If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  8. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. Close the 4 cargo tie down loop access covers.

    NOTE:

    Install the left and right side front compartment side sight shield -front (1).

    Front Compartment Side Sight Shield- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Retainer- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [6x]

  13. Turn the 6 left side and right side front compartment sight shield retainers (1) one quarter turn clockwise to engage.

    Front Compartment Front Sight Shield (3) - Install

  15. Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
  16. Install the 4 front compartment front sight shield clips (1).
