Post Vehicle Delivery Malfunction

NOTE:

For operation issues post vehicle delivery to customer, refer to GMC Support guide at www.gmc.com/support

  1. Any time the 12V vehicle battery is disconnected, you must recalibrate the Power Tonneau Cover, refer to:Power Tonneau Cover Calibration .
  2. Make sure the emergency release button (motor clutch) is pulled out completely to the end of travel.
  3. Make sure the vehicle is unlocked. The Power Tonneau Cover only operates when the passenger doors are unlocked.
  4. Make sure there are no obstructions or objects along the bed cover slats and side rail tracks, such as dirt or ice. If the Power Tonneau Cover detects objects in its path, it will stop opening or closing. You can also remove debris from inside the canister by opening the inspection covers and cleaning the inside with a hose. Recalibrate the Power Tonneau Cover after cleaning, refer to:Power Tonneau Cover Calibration .
  5. Verify the wiring harnesses on the Power Tonneau Cover are all fully engaged. On the Power Tonneau Cover canister, there are four connections on the sides and two in the back.
  6. If the lights in the truck bed do not light up, remove the power fuse located to the lower left of the dashboard for 5 seconds. Re-install the fuse and recalibrate the Power Tonneau Cover, refer to:Power Tonneau Cover Calibration . Replace the fuse if the lights do not come on during recalibration.
