Installation Procedure
Install the instrument panel wiring harness (1) to the instrument panel tie bar (2).
- Connect the electrical connectors and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
- Data Link Connector Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Using an appropriate tool, move the left side and right side retaining tabs (1) back to their original positions to allow the retention of the instrument panel tie bar.
- NOTE:
- The wiring harness will remain attached to the instrument panel tie bar (1).
- Some components not shown for graphic clarity.
With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument panel tie bar (1) into the vehicle.
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
- Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
- Body Hinge Pillar Outer Panel Hole Plug (1) - Install [4x]
- Remove the support from the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module.
- NOTE:
- Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
- Quantity of connectors may vary based on option content.
- Quantity of retainers may vary based on option content.
Connect the electrical connectors. (2) [2x]
- Connect the wiring harness retainers. (1) [3x]
- NOTE:
- Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
- Quantity of connectors may vary based on option content.
- Quantity of retainers may vary based on option content.
Connect the electrical connectors and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary. (1) [4x]
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Ground Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Ground Repair
Driver Footrest Bracket (1) - Install
Driver Footrest Retainer (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Driver Footrest Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Move the front floor panel mat back into position.
Instrument Panel Wiring Harness - Move into position
- Connect the electrical connectors. (1) [4x]
Instrument Panel Wiring Harness - Move into position
- Connect the electrical connectors. (2) [3x]
- Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Ground Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Ground Repair
Starting at the front of the front side door sill garnish molding (1) engage the 2 retaining clips on the forward vertical wall on both sides of the vehicle.
- Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
Engage the retaining clips at the front of the side door sill garnish moldings (1) on both sides of the vehicle.
- Side Door Sill Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
- Install the front of the side door weatherstrips as necessary.

Front Seat- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x] - Front Seat Removal and Installation
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct (1) - Install
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install
Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Install
- Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct Retainer (1) - Install
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install [2x]
Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator (2) - Install
- Instrument Panel Lower Insulator Retainer (1) - Install [4x]
Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Retainer (1) - Install
Instrument Panel Carrier (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
- NOTE:
Some components not shown for graphic clarity.
Heater and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Air Inlet Duct (1) - Install
Air Inlet Duct Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace (2) - Install
- Front End Sheet Metal Cross Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Install
Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install
- Windshield Washer Nozzle Hose - Connect
- Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Install [4x]
Clean the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms (3).
- Position the windshield wiper arms (3) on the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.
- Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
- Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install [3x]
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
- Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
- Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
- Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.

Front Fender Ornamentation Vent- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
- Front Fender Ornamentation Vent Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Front Trim Finish Compartment - Install - Front Trim Finish Compartment Removal and Installation
