Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Remove the component:Control Valve Body Cover
- Connect the electrical connector:X1 @ Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly
- Disconnect the electrical connector:X4 @ Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly - B14A Transmission Output Shaft Speed Sensor
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter:ISS/OSS Supply Voltage=OK
- If not the specified state
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector:X3 @ Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly - B14C Transmission Input Shaft Speed Sensor
- Verify the condition does not exist:Contamination with metallic debris @ Electrical Connector - X3 & X4
- If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter:ISS/OSS Supply Voltage=OK
- If not the specified state - Replace the component:Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly
- If the specified state - Replace the component:B14C Transmission Input Shaft Speed Sensor
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Perform the following procedure/test:Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test
Verify the procedure/test passes.
- If the procedure/test does not pass
Replace the component:Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly
- Go to next step: If the procedure/test passes
- If the procedure/test does not pass
- Verify the condition does not exist:Park Gear - Damaged or misaligned reluctor ring.
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- If a condition exists
- Test or replace the component:B14A Transmission Output Shaft Speed Sensor
