Circuit/System Verification
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P2805 is not set and no other DTCs are set.
- If DTC P2805 is set and no other DTCs are set
Replace the component:B303 Transmission Range Sensor
- Go to next step: If DTC P2805 is set and other DTCs are set
- If DTC P2805 is set and no other DTCs are set
- Verify DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3 is not set.
- If any DTC is set
- Go to next step: If no DTC is set
- Verify the condition does not exist:Incorrect adjustment - Refer to:Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- If a condition exists
- Operate the component:S3 Transmission Shift Lever - Select each position
Verify the scan tool parameter:Transmission Range Sensor 1, 2=The value should be within the range listed in the table:Transmission Range Sensor Duty Cycles
- If not in the specified range
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If in the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
