Before disassembling the vehicle, with a scan tool communicate with the battery energy control module to observe and record the Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Interface Control Module location and MAC address parameters for the cell module assembly that set the DTC. The location parameter identifies if the CMA is located in the upper (pack 1) or lower (pack 2) level of the battery pack assembly. The MAC address parameter can be matched to the physical label on the CMA that set the DTC.
