Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors and release the wiring harness retainers.
- Open and support the endgate.
Pickup Box Endgate Hinge Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
- Endgate Cable- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Reposition [2x]
Pickup Box Endgate Hinge Bolt (1) - Remove
With the aid of an assistant, position the endgate (1) about halfway open, lift the right edge of the pickup box endgate from the lower pivot.
- Raise the pickup box endgate (1) nearly all the way to the closed position prior to removing the left edge.
- Pickup Box Endgate (1) - Remove
- NOTE:
Do not remove Bolt.
Pickup Box Endgate Torque Rod Bolt (1) - Loosen
- Pickup Box Endgate Torque Rod (2) - Remove
