Removal Procedure

    Turn the 3 front compartment sight shield retainers (1) a quarter turn counter clockwise to release.

    Front Compartment Side Sight Shield (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

    Front Fender Ornamentation Vent Bolt (2) - Remove

  4. Release the retainers.
  5. Front Fender Ornamentation Vent (1) - Remove

    Hood Hinge Nut (1) - Remove [4x]

  7. With the aid of an assistant, remove the hood. (2)

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Release [2x]

  9. Release the metal clip at the end of the hood power assist actuator (2) and reposition.

    Hood Hinge Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  11. Hood Hinge (2) - Remove
