Removal Procedure

  1. Open the endgate step.

    Pickup Box Endgate Access Hole Cover Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [12x]

  3. Pickup Box Endgate Access Hole Cover Panel (2) - Remove

    { If equipped }Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]

  5. Disconnect the 2 endgate wiring harness connectors (2) from the chassis wiring harness and push it through the endgate lower panel.

    Using the appropriate trim tool, remove the 2 pickup box endgate access hole cover panels (1) to gain access to the wiring harness.

  7. Carefully pull the pickup box auxiliary endgate hinge cover (1) away from the pickup box auxiliary endgate hinge.

  8. If equipped, remove the wiring harness retainer and the 2 zip ties from the pickup box auxiliary endgate hinge cover (1).
  9. Remove the pickup box auxiliary endgate hinge cover (1).

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

  11. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]
  12. Pull the endgate wiring harness (2) through the endgate step.

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Remove [16x]

  14. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
  15. Reach into the endgate center opening and pull the endgate harness (2) out of the endgate.
