Installation Procedure

  1. GM5814943
  2. With the aid of an assistant, install the instrument panel upper trim panel (1).
    1. Install the 2 harness retainers.
    2. Push the instrument panel upper trim panel (1) forward and downward to install placing it above the 4 front metal retaining tabs.
    3. Pull the instrument panel upper trim panel (1) rearward and push downward to install it into the 4 front metal tabs.
  3. Secure the retaining tabs.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [11x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Airbag Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications 

  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Install the retainer.

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  9. Instrument Panel Trim Pad - Right Side (1) - Install
  10. GM5811494

    Instrument Panel Trim Pad Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Trim Plate (2) - Install

  12. Instrument Panel Trim Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Air Outlet Bezel (1) - Install

    Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] Front End Upper Tie Bar Bolt Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connector.

  16. Radio Front Speaker- Right Side (2) - Install
  17. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Radio Front Speaker Grille- Right Side (2) - Install

  19. Secure the retaining tabs.
  20. Radio Front Speaker Grille Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  22. Radio Control (1) - Install

    Radio Control Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Radio Control Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Cover (1) - Install

  26. Secure the retaining tabs.

    Instrument Panel Bolt Cover (1) - Install [2x]

  28. Secure the retaining tab.

  30. Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Trim Pad - Left Side (2) - Install

  32. Instrument Panel Trim Pad Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Air Outlet Bezel (1) - Install

    Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  36. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Install

    Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 

  38. Instrument Panel Fuse Block Access Hole Cover (1) - Install

    Connect the electrical connector.

  40. Radio Front Speaker- Left Side (2) - Install
  41. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Radio Front Speaker Grille- Left Side (2) - Install

  43. Secure the retaining tabs.
  44. Radio Front Speaker Grille Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Compartment (1) - Install

    Open the instrument panel compartment door.

  47. Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Floor Console (1) - Install

  50. Connect the electrical connectors to the front floor console (1).

    Front Floor Console Retainer Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications 

  52. Front Floor Console Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Lower Applique (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Extension Panel (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Retainer Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications 

  56. Front Floor Console Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Install

    Rear Floor Mat (1) - Install

    Tire Air Compressor (2) - Install

  59. Tire Repair Sealer and Tire Air Compressor Retainer (1) - Install and hand tighten

    Front Floor Console Lower Applique (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Extension Panel (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Extension Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 

  63. Front Floor Console Extension Panel Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Install

    Install the left and right front floor mat (1).

  65. Return the seat to its original position.

    Connect the electrical connector.

  67. Forward Collision Alert Display (2) - Install
  68. Forward Collision Alert Display Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  69. Connect the electrical connector to the auxiliary wireless communication interface antenna.

    Connect the electrical connector.

  71. Radio Front Center Speaker (2) - Install
  72. Radio Front Center Speaker Bolt (1) Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connector.

  74. Instrument Cluster (1) - Install

    Instrument Cluster Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

  83. Install the weatherstrip as necessary.
