Installation Procedure

  1. GM5821247

    Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Switch (1) - Install

  2. GM5821246

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  3. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover (1) - Install
  4. GM5821244
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 

  5. GM5821243

    Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the right of the centered position.

  6. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  7. GM5821242

    Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the left of the centered position.

  8. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  9. Turn the steering wheel to the centered position.
  10. GM5819296

    Secure the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover (1) to the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover.
