Removal Procedure

  1. GM5776099

    Remove the left and right front floor mat (1).

  2. GM5776100
    NOTE:

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

    Front Floor Console Extension Panel Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Remove

  3. Front Floor Console Extension Bolt (2) - Remove

    Move the front seat to access the retainers.

  5. Front Floor Console Extension Panel (1) - Remove

    Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  7. Front Floor Console Lower Applique (1) - Remove

    Tire Repair Sealer and Tire Air Compressor Retainer (1) - Remove

  9. Tire Air Compressor (2) - Remove

    Rear Floor Mat (1) - Remove

  11. GM5776104

    Move the front seat to access the retainers.

    12. NOTE:

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

  12. Front Floor Console Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Remove
  13. Front Floor Console Retainer Bolt (2) - Remove [5x]

    NOTE:

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

    Move the front seat to access the retainers.

  15. Front Floor Console Extension Panel (1) - Remove

    Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  17. Front Floor Console Lower Applique (1) - Remove

    Move the front seat to access the retainers.

    19. NOTE:

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

  19. Front Floor Console Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Remove
  20. Front Floor Console Retainer Bolt (2) - Remove [5x]

    Disconnect the electrical connectors from the front floor console (1).

  22. Slide the front floor console (1) back enough to clear the instrument panel.

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  24. Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover- Right Side (1) - Remove

    Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]

    Open the instrument panel compartment door.

  27. Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

    Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  29. Instrument Panel Compartment (1) - Remove
  30. GM5775549

    Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  31. Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover- Left Side (1) - Remove

    Instrument Panel Fuse Block Access Hole Cover (1) - Remove

  33. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

    Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  35. Reposition the component to access the electrical connectors.
  36. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  37. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Remove

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]

  39. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  40. Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel (2) - Remove

    Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]

  42. Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet (2) - Remove
