Removal Procedure

  1. GM5814943

    Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel (1) - Remove - Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Removal and Installation 

  2. GM5821310

    Steering Column (1) - Remove - Steering Column Removal and Installation

  3. GM5819210

    Instrument Panel Trim Plate Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  4. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  5. Instrument Panel Trim Plate (2) - Remove
  6. GM5795366

    Front Floor Console Auxiliary Cooling Duct Bolt (1) - Remove

  7. GM5819157

    Instrument Panel Carrier Bolt (1) - Remove [17x]

  8. GM5819159

    Instrument Panel Carrier Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  9. Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bolt (2) - Remove
  10. GM5819162
    NOTE:

    Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.

    Reposition the instrument panel carrier (1) to access the harness clips.

  11. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
  12. Instrument Panel Carrier (1) - Remove
