Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the block pan rail and the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Oil Pan (2) - Install
- Oil Pan Bolt (3) - Install NEW and tighten in sequence [3x]
- First Pass: 7 N.m (62 lb in)
- Final Pass: 180 degrees
- Oil Pan Bolt (4) - Tighten in sequence to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Oil Pan Bolt (5) - Tighten in sequence [3x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Oil Pan Bolt (6) - Tighten in sequence [9x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Oil Pan Bolt (7) - Tighten in sequence to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
Transmission Bolt (2) - Install - Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive with LGX)
Transmission Bolt (2, 3) - Install - Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive with LGX)
Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch - Connect
Engine Oil Cooler (2) - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Replacement (LGX)
Power Transfer Unit Case (1) - Install - Power Transfer Unit Case Replacement (LGX)
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.
- Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
