Removal Procedure

  1. Camshaft Timing Chain-Right Side - Remove - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Right Side 
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly With Loosening Sequence - Bank 1

    Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly-Bank 1 (2) - Remove - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1

    Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter (2) @ Bank 1 - Remove - Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (Bank 1, LGX)

    Fuel Pump (2) - Remove - Fuel Pump Replacement

  5. Remove the 2 ground wire bolts and ground wires at the front and rear of the cylinder head.
  6. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
  7. Camshaft-Right Side - Remove - Camshaft Replacement - Right Side

    Camshaft Carrier-Right Side (2) - Remove

    Cylinder Head Bolt - M11 x 178 (1) - Remove and DISCARD [8x]

  10. Cylinder Head Bolt - M8 x 80.8 (2) - Remove and DISCARD
  11. Cylinder Head (3) - Remove
  12. Cylinder Head Gasket (4) - Remove and DISCARD
  13. Clean, inspect and overhaul the cylinder head as needed. Cylinder Head Overhaul
