Removal Procedure

  1. Camshaft Timing Chain-Left Side - Remove - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Left Side 
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly And Bolts With Loosening Sequence - Bank 2

    Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly-Bank 2 (2) - Remove - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 2

    Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter (2) @ Bank 2 - Remove - Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (Bank 2, LGX)

    Oil Level Indicator Tube (1) - Remove - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

    Battery Negative Cable (2) @ Cylinder Head - Remove - Battery Negative Cable Replacement (LGX)

  6. Remove the ground wire bolt and ground wire at the rear of the cylinder head.
  7. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
  8. Camshaft-Left Side - Remove - Camshaft Replacement - Left Side

    Camshaft Carrier-Left Side (2) - Remove

    Cylinder Head Bolt - M8 x 80.8 (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]

  11. Cylinder Head Bolt - M11 x 178 (2) - Remove and DISCARD [8x]
  12. Cylinder Head (3) - Remove
  13. Cylinder Head Gasket (4) - Remove and DISCARD
  14. Clean, inspect and overhaul the cylinder head as needed. Cylinder Head Overhaul
