  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    CAUTION:

    If any malfunction is experienced which may cause debris to enter the oil supply, you must replace the engine oil cooler and hoses if equipped. Debris in the engine oil cooler and oil cooler hoses may be pulled back into the engine causing severe engine damage.

    NOTE:

    A constant and continuous flow of clean engine oil is required in order to properly prime the engine. Use an approved engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Oil Filter (1) - Remove and DISCARD

    Ensure that the oil pan drain plug (2) is installed and tighten. Fastener Specifications

  4. Install EN-47971  Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter (1) and hand tighten.

    Attached EN-45299  Engine Preluber to EN-47971  Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter using the supplied fittings.

  6. Pump the handle on the EN-45299  Engine Preluber in order to flow a minimum of 1-1.9 liters (1-2 quarts) of NEW engine oil. Observe the flow of engine oil through the flexible hose and into the engine assembly.
  7. Close the valve and remove EN-45299  Engine Preluber and adapter from the EN-47971  Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter.

    Remove EN-47971  Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter (1).

    Fill the NEW oil filter (2) with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

  10. Oil Filter (1) Install NEW and tighten Fastener Specifications
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
