Installation Procedure

    WARNING:

    Never install the passenger airbag module into the instrument panel assembly that airbag module chute is cut. This may cause incorrect deployment when the passenger airbag is deployed.

    NOTE:

    When replacing instrument panel upper trim panel, always install a NEW instrument panel airbag. Instrument panel airbag is a single use component.

    Position the passenger air bag module (1) on the air bag chute.

    2. CAUTION:

    Make sure that the passenger airbag is installed into the chute completely.

  2. Push the passenger airbag module (1) into the airbag chute until the hooks of airbag module are seated completely.

    Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel (2) - Install

  4. Position the wiring harness and connect the harness retainers and the electrical connector.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 10x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet (2) - Install

  7. Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Airbag Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 3x ] - Fastener Specifications

  9. Connect the instrument panel airbag electrical connector to the instrument panel harness.

    Instrument Panel Compartment (1) - Install

    Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 10x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Outer Filler (2) - Install

  13. Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Rear Floor Console Applique (2) - Install

  16. Front Floor Console Trim Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 3x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Floor Console Applique (1) - Install

    Connect the electrical connector.

  19. Radio Front Speaker (2) - Install
  20. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Radio Front Center Speaker Grille (1) - Install

    Windshield Garnish Molding Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  23. Connect the electrical connector.
  24. Align the retaining clips with the slots in the A pillar and press the windshield garnish molding (1) into place.

    Instrument Panel Center Trim Plate Applique (2) - Install

  27. Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 5x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connector.

  29. Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate (1) - Install

    Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 7x ] - Fastener Specifications

    Secure the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover (1) to the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover.

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  33. Instrument Panel Trim Pad (2) - Install
  34. Instrument Panel Trim Pad Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connector.

  47. Radio Front Center Speaker (2) - Install

  52. Connect the electrical connector.
