Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Front Floor Console (1) - Remove - Front Floor Console Removal and Installation (D07 without Denali) , or Front Floor Console Removal and Installation (DCH without Denali) , or Front Floor Console Removal and Installation (D07 with Denali) , or Front Floor Console Removal and Installation (DCH with Denali)
Steering Column (1) - Remove - Steering Column Removal And Installation (Without Denali) , or Steering Column Removal and Installation (with Denali)
- NOTE:
The instrument panel upper trim panel and instrument panel airbag will be removed as an assembly.
Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel (1) - Remove - Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Removal and Installation - Right Side (with Denali)
Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
- Radio Front Speaker Grille (1) - Remove
Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]
- Radio Front Speaker (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Bolt (1) - Remove
- Instrument Panel Upper Bolt (2) - Remove [ 5x ]
Head-Up Display Bezel (1) - Remove
Head-Up Display Bolt (1) - Remove [ 4x ]
- Head-Up Display (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
Head-Up Display Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [ 3x ]
- Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
- Head-Up Display Bracket (2) - Remove
Instrument Cluster Bolt (1) - Remove [ 4x ]
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Instrument Cluster (2) - Remove
Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel (2) - Remove
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Bolt (1) - Remove [ 4x ]
- Instrument Panel Center Trim Plate Applique (2) - Remove
Instrument Panel Accessory Bezel Bolt (1) - Remove
- Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
- Instrument Panel Transmission Shift Opening Cover (2) - Remove
Electronic Transmission Shift Control Pushbutton Bolt (1) - Remove [ 3x ]
- Electronic Transmission Shift Control Pushbutton (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
Radio Control Bolt (1) - Remove [ 5x ]
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Radio Control (1) - Remove
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Retainer (1) - Remove
- Side Window Defogger Outlet Bolt (2) - Remove
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Remove
- Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
Side Window Defogger Outlet Bolt (1) - Remove
- Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Retainer (2) - Remove
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove
Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
- Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct (1) - Remove
- NOTE:
Note the location and routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.
Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary and remove the fuse block.
- Instrument Panel Carrier Bolt (1) - Remove [ 12x ]
Instrument Panel Carrier (1) - Remove
Use a plastic trim tool if necessary.
