Diagnostic Aids
- Verify the mobile device is properly configured for the feature being used. Refer to the device manufacturer's information.
- Verify the device has the latest software available. Refer to the device manufacturer's information.
- Verify the function/feature that is being used is supported by the mobile device.
- The device must be paired to the radio to use the available Bluetooth® feature(s). The pairing process must only be performed once for each device, unless that device's information is deleted.
- The system can store pairing information for multiple devices, certain radios can have up to two devices actively connected at any given time, refer to Owner's Manual for further details.
- For features that require a cellular connection make sure to perform tests in an area where the customers device has a strong signal.
- Close all other applications running in the background on the phone.
- If issue persists unpair the phone in both the phone and radio settings, then start the pairing process over from the beginning.
- Before beginning testing, if available verify the customers device can pair with a like vehicle, meaning: Same year, same model, same radio RPO and same radio software level.
