Torque Converter Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Transmission Replacement (Front Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive with LGX) , or Transmission Replacement (AWD with LSY) , or Transmission Replacement (FWD with LSY) 
  2. Position the transmission assembly so the torque converter is facing up.
1 Torque Converter Assembly
CAUTION:

Only install the lift assist handles until it stops. Do not tighten. Over tightening the lift assist handles can cause damage to the torque converter.

CAUTION:

Lower the torque converter straight down. Failure to lower the torque converter straight down could damage the torque converter clutch lip seal inside the torque converter clutch assembly.
