Powertrain Mount Balancing

  1. Air Cleaner Assembly - Remove - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
  2. Engine Support Fixture - Install - Engine Support Fixture 
  3. Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Rear Transmission Mount Through Bolt (1) - Loosen

    Front Transmission Mount Through Bolt (1) - Loosen

  6. Lower the vehicle.

    Transmission Mount Bolt (1) - Loosen [4x]

    Engine Mount Fastener (2) - Loosen [3x]

  9. Adjust the engine support fixture in order to allow a 1/8 inch gap between the mount and bracket.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Refer to the procedure link for torque specification.

    Transmission Mount Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [4x] - Transmission Mount Replacement

    NOTE:

    Refer to the procedure link for torque specification.

    Engine Mount Fastener (2) - Tighten [3x] - Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side 

  12. Engine Support Fixture - Remove - Engine Support Fixture 
  13. Shake the powertrain vigorously from front to rear and allow the powertrain to settle.
  14. Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Front Transmission Mount Through Bolt (1) - Tighten - Transmission Front Mount Replacement

  17. Lower the vehicle.
